Specialising in barbering and cut throat shaving, Deckchair offers a wide range of different services from traditional to contemporary styles and everything in between.

The salon offers a relaxed, quirky and unique setting, topped off with deckchairs on the ceiling - whilst below the floorboards sit Nottingham’s famous caves.

David established Deckchair Barbering and Hairdressing in 2014, drawing on over 18 years of expertise in barbering and wet shaving. Infused with David's distinctive, quirky charm and a retro, northern soul, and mod ambiance, Deckchair exudes originality. David looks forward to welcoming you, offering a firsthand experience of his unique blend of style and skill.

Filipa

Filipa joined the Deckchair team in November 2022 and has quickly distinguished herself as a versatile Barber. From classic cuts to trendy mullets and skin fades, Filipa excels across a broad spectrum of styles. Her passion for barbering shines through, earning her recognition as a finalist for the 2024 Barber of the Year at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards. Whether you seek a timeless style or a daring new look, Filipa’s creativity guarantees you leave with the perfect cut

Nicolina

Nicolina brings a wealth of experience to both hairdressing and barbering, with unparalleled skills in the trade. She excels in a wide range of services, from ladies' cuts to gentlemen's perms, colouring to wet shaving. Nicolina's diverse expertise ensures she can meet any styling need with precision and flair. Beyond her technical abilities, Nicolina is known for her fantastic personality, making every client’s visit an enjoyable experience.

Daniyal

Daniyal joined the Deckchair team immediately after qualifying as a Barber in 2021. With a deep passion for modern hairstyles and trends, Daniyal takes pride in transforming clients' visions into reality. Daniyal has a knack for understanding individual preferences and consistently delivering exceptional results. Daniyal aims for every client to walk away feeling confident and thrilled with their new look.

Dan

Dan started his journey in the industry in 2006 and subsequently moved with David to Deckchair as an original member when the business began in 2014.

Dan's initial training began with hairdressing and has since evolved into solely barbering, but in doing so he utilises an array of techniques obtained by his experiences to create a diverse and bespoke service.

Joel

Joel boasts over 20 years of experience in barbering, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the Deckchair team. He is passionate about all aspects of the profession, from the latest trends to classic cuts. Joel's dedication to perfection is evident in every haircut he delivers.
